HMRC attacks Dummys

HMRC has warned of 'innaccurate employee data' remarking that a recent study showed that 128 staff were entered as Mr or Mrs Dummy.

It warned that in addition to 128 staff that give themselves the surname 'Dummy' 824 gave their surname as 'unknown' while another 40 listed their age as being over 200. Less serious problems HMRC had to contend with included the swapping round of forenames and surnames or the replacing of first names with initals.

The tax bigwigs have also provided a video detailing the way in which inaccurate returns 'can affect employees, employers and HMRC' which is available for viewing here.
